G̈pim-bîmo Bî (/ˈɘrɘ/ /ˈbɪmo/ [specific; definite; particular] [squirrel]) is a subtropical Town located in the G̈mthêldèthêkè Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name G̈pim-bîmo Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as G̈pim-bîmo Bî was founded by Iorthossel Brthê, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

G̈pim-bîmo Bî has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Overview

G̈pim-bîmo Bî was founded durring the late 14th century in spring of the year 1356, by Iorthossel Brthê. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Iorthossel Brthê.

G̈pim-bîmo Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and G̈pim-bîmo Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

G̈pim-bîmo Bî is buildings are arranged within a network of premissive paverstone streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town rests behind the absurdity that is a thick, timber braced, wall made of clay bricks. While visualy impressive and certainly an astetic, G̈pim-bîmo Bî's wall provides no actual defence against siege equipment due to the choice of its cosntruction materials. Even nonexperts can tell the town is trying to impress rather than defend with its walls, towers, and gatehouses. Though admittedly, they do look nice... To primitive tribals who have never seen fortifications before. The political statment focused walls have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Right off the bat G̈pim-bîmo Bî hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. It’s easy to see where their wealth comes from the more you look arround. Every aspect of the town has been developed with care and great thought. The people themselves act deliberately and with care in even the simplest of daily actions.

Civic Infrastructure

G̈pim-bîmo Bî has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within G̈pim-bîmo Bî.

G̈pim-bîmo Bî has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

G̈pim-bîmo Bî has a Department of Firefighters, which is responsible for organizing fire fighting efforts during a fire and enforcing local ordinances relating to fire safety.

G̈pim-bîmo Bî has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

G̈pim-bîmo Bî has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain G̈pim-bîmo Bî's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

G̈pim-bîmo Bî possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

G̈pim-bîmo Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

G̈pim-bîmo Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

One or more crime bosses have a powerful influence within G̈pim-bîmo Bî. They may control crime within the community itself, or they may use it simply as a safe haven from which to direct their minions elsewhere. Local law enforcement may know all about them, but lack the strength to confront them and their paid or intimidated henchmen.

G̈pim-bîmo Bî's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used makes use of a large oblong hall or building with double colonnades and a semicircular apse and symmetrical central-plan, resulting in buildings with a square central mass and four arms of equal length. Decorative features included domed rooves, arches, soaring spaces, and sumptuous decoration: marble columns and inlay, mosaics on the vaults, inlaid-stone pavements, and sometimes gold coffered ceilings.

In G̈pim-bîmo Bî there is always just enough rain to be annoying.
